Are dental or oral appliances effective at treating obstructive sleep apnea?
The answer is a resounding yes. All you need to do is come in and get fitted for an appliance and fortunately, they're very comfortable and easily tolerated. It has a screw that the patient can adjust to titrate the amount of mandibular posturing or advancement of the mandible and allows the patient to comfortably position the jaws in a way where they can allow enough oxygen to go into their lungs when they're sleeping at night.
