John Douglas Hudson, M.D., Medical Director – SleepDisorders.com

John Douglas Hudson, M.D. is a sleep doctor practicing in the state of Texas. As the founder of both Austin Neurological Clinic and Sleep Medicine Consultants, Dr. Hudson is a pioneer of sleep medicine in his area. He holds leadership positions at numerous other sleep centers in Texas. Dr. Hudson has official certification from the American Board of Sleep Medicine to treat sleep disorders and neurological disorders. He continues to investigate neurology and sleep disorders by conducting extensive research on at the FutureSearch Trials of Neurology and Sleep. His work has been featured in respected publications as the Journal of Spinal Cord Medicine (2011), Movement Disorders (2011), Sleep Review Journal (2007), among others. He has professionally lectured to national and local audiences.

Dr. Hudson studied medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. He also holds a Master’s of Business Administration from Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois and a Bachelor’s of Sciences in Chemistry from Texas University in Lubbock, Texas. In addition to being a Board-certified sleep doctor, Dr. Hudson also has certification from the American Board of Neurology.

Dr. Hudson has completed Neurology and Medical residency programs at various hospitals across the United States, which has given him ample training to practice in a wide variety of medical fields. That being said, he is a member of a long list of medical organizations, including the Texas Medical Association, the Austin Neurological Society, the World Federation of Neurology, the American Heart and Stroke Council, the American Board of Sleep Medicine, the American Sleep Apnea Association, the Southern Sleep Society and the Pickwick Society of National Sleep Foundation. Furthermore, he is a Fellow of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the Texas Neurological Society and the American Clinic of Neurophysiology Society. Dr. Hudson holds many special honors for his work as a physician providing quality care to his patients.
