How does CPAP work?

How do CPAP machines work to help sleep apnea? Won't it be hard for me to breathe when it is blowing air in my throat?

CPAP machines simply act as a 'splint' for your airway. Although you may initially feel resistance when exhaling against CPAP, most people adjust nicely without difficulty.
