I have noticed that whenever I wake up in the middle of the night it is mostly due to snoring. I also find that I am short of breath and have difficulty breathing. Could snoring be causing sleep apnea? Are these two conditions related?

Snoring doesn't cause sleep apnea, but it is related and can be an indicator to get tested.
