Will most insurance companies cover CPAP machines?

I have medcare and blue shield, blue cross do most sleep physicians accept insurance for CPAP devices?

Absolutely! CPAP is the number one treatment for seep apnea that is accepted by insurance companies.

Yes, most insurance covers sleep testing, consult and cpap machines. If you are still concerned, just call them and they should be able to tell you on the phone.

Most all insurance companies cover diagnosis and treatment for sleep disorders. This includes CPAP equipment. However, Medicare and many other insurance companies require that you meet certain criteria such as how often you stop breathing. A sleep study is your next step. This can be ordered by your primary care physician.

With sleep apnea being so prevelant most insurances cover part or all of the CPAP devices after a deductible has been met. You would have to check with the individual insurer to see what copay or addition costs may not be covered once you got established on the therapy.
