Sometimes I wake up after maybe 1 or 2 hours of sleep and I can't go back to sleep. It has been happening more often later. Why does this happen? I used to be able to sleep for at least 6 hours straight or be able to fall back asleep just fine.

The most efficient way to determine that is to keep a sleep diary recording the days events and to have a sleep study. We need more information to make a definitive answer. However, there are many sleep disorders that are related to or cause the symptoms of insomnia.
