Can you only obtain CPAP from a doctor?

I snore and keep my wife awake need help immediately. Does a CPAP machine have to be ordered by a doctor?

A CPAP, like most medical devices, require a doctor's order. Just because you snore does not necessarily mean that you need a CPAP machine. However, if your snoring is bothersome you need a sleep study to make a diagnosis and then a study to determine the correct CPAP settings. See your physician or a board certified sleep doctor.

Yes. You need a prescription for the pressure.
