Overview

Vector Sleep Diagnostic Center is located in the Rego Park neighborhood of Queens, New York. The facility has been providing comprehensive evaluation, testing, diagnosis and treatment of various sleep disorders since its inception in 2005. Every day, medical specialists at Vector Sleep Diagnostic Center help patients beset with common sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, restless legs syndrome and insomnia. The staff is also fully equipped to care for patients with rarer types of sleep disorders such as narcolepsy, sleepwalking, night terrors and unspecified parasomnias.

At Vector Sleep Diagnostic Center, patients are of the utmost value. Those who come into the sleep center have the option of undergoing sleep testing with the latest research and technology in Sleep Medicine. Some diagnostic tools offered at the sleep lab include polysomnography (overnight sleep study), maintenance of wakefulness testing (MWT), multiple sleep latency testing (nap study) or home sleep testing with ambulatory electroencephalography (EEG), electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction velocity (NCV).

While patients are at Vector Sleep Diagnostic Center for evaluation, the sleep center provides a relaxing, home style environment, with several private bedrooms that feature queen-sized beds, attached showers and baths, wireless Internet and cable television. Patients are encouraged to make themselves at home so that the test results produced are an accurate reflection of their personal sleep habits. Administrative hours are Monday through Friday, from 10AM to 6PM. The sleep lab is open 7 days a week, with sleep studies usually conducted between 9PM and 6AM. Vector Sleep Diagnostic Center is a free-standing sleep facility accredited by both the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The group prides itself on a staff of qualified sleep technicians with years of expertise in Sleep Medicine that can provide the best of services for its patients. The handicap-accessible building is conveniently located for the public. Both prospective and current patients are welcome to visit Vector Sleep Diagnostic Center by car or public transportation.

Currently, the dedicated team members at Vector Sleep Diagnostic Center are led by Dr. Dmitriy Kolesnik, board certified by the American Board of Sleep Medicine, Psychiatry and Neurology. The sleep doctor started his medical career more than 20 years ago, at St. Petersburg Medical School in Russia. Since his arrival in New York in the early 1990s, he has acquired extensive field experience in Neurology as well as Sleep Medicine. Dr. Kolesnik has been the appointment Clinical Instructor in Neurology at Well Medical College of Cornell University since 2004. He joined as Medical Director of Vector Sleep Diagnostic Center in 2009.
