Overview

Kent E. Dodson, DDS is a cosmetic dentist who practices in Omaha and Lincoln, Nebraska. He has been practicing private dentistry for 25 years and moved his practice to the Adams Dental Center in June of 1989. Previously, Dr. Dodson started his first private practice in Lincoln in 1988, and for one year, worked as an associate dentist. The staff at Adams Dental Center are well-experience and highly trained in performing the procedures of cosmetic dentistry and in explaining them. Dr. Dodson strives for his patients to feel comfortable; at the Adams Dental Center patients are encouraged to set up an initial consultation, to call and to ask questions. Dr. Dodson provides the greatest, cutting edge technologies to his patients in cosmetic dentistry. His new dental office has incorporated chair side computers, Caesey educational DVD software, televisions in the operatories, digital X-rays, Cerec CAD/CAM porcelain milling equipment, diagnodent laser cavity detection and a soft tissue laser.

The services and procedures offered at Adams Dental Center include Mandibular Advancement Devices, Mandibular Repositioning Device, Oral Appliances, Sleep Study, Night Guard, SomnoMed, Snoring Mouthpieces, Genioglossus Surgery, EMG, Tongue Retaining Device, Adaptive Servo-Ventilation and more. Dr. Dodson also provides restorative dentistry and advanced aesthetics. At the Adams Dental Center, patients may choose from tooth whitening, smile makeover, dental bonding, power mouthguard mouthpieces, porcelain veneers, instant orthodontics, Invisalign and metal-free fillings.

Dr. Dodson went to the Creighton University in Omaha and completed his BS there in 1983. He later graduated from the College of Dentistry at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1987 where he completed his degree in Doctor of Dental Surgery and his one-year Residency in General Practice with the University of Nebraska Medical Center from 1987 to 1988. Additionally, Dr. Dodson passed the fellowship exams of both the Certificate American Academy of Craniofacial Pain and the Certificate Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dental Studies (LVI). He completed the seven LVI courses and is one in only 1,000 dentists in total in the world who had completed the LVI exam at the time (in May of 2009).

Dr. Dodson is a member of the International Association of Comprehensive Aesthetics, the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, the American Dental Association, the Nebraska Dental Association, the Functional Orthodontic Society, the International Association of Orthodontics and the International College of Cranial-Mandibular Orthopedics; since he graduated dental school, he has completed more than 3,000 Continuing Education hours, which emphasized TMD/TMJ, Airway Development in Children, Sleep Apnea, Finishing Orthodontics and Interceptive/Functional Orthodontics. He is a native of North Platte, Nebraska and is married and has 3 sons. Dr. Dodson has been working with his team for a long-time, including one assistant who has been working alongside him for more than 17 years, and his front desk and hygienist have been with him for five years. He values the importance of consistency in providing services to his patients, in providing quality care that his patients deserve and in the importance of a long-term team.
